20/20 Optical Boutique Our head optician, Debbie Tu, is experienced in handling all prescriptions, from the routine to the most complex. We offer an excellent selection of practical and stylish frames, and state of the art lenses and materials. Contact Lenses We specialize in the fitting of all types of contact lenses, and we are a referral center for difficult to fit contact lens patients. We offer the most current 1 day and 2 week disposable and color contact lenses, as well as lenses for astigmatism correction (toric), and reading correction (multifocal), and both (toric multifocal). We are one of the first practices in the area to offer the Synergeyes lens, a hybrid soft / gas permeable lens which corrects highly irregular and astigmatic prescriptions but the provides the comfort of a soft lens.

Laser Treatment We have 3 different types of state of the art lasers in the office (argon, yag and SLT) to treat various eye conditions, such as dry eye, retinal diseases, glaucoma, and after-cataract membrane formation.

Cataract Surgery Cataract surgery is the main specialty of our practice. We have the most sophisticated measurement instrument (IOLMaster) for preoperative assessment of cataracts. We specialize in the state of the art no stitch, no needle, no patch technique. The painless procedure is performed in our Palisades Eye Surgery Center in Bethesda, using the most advanced instrumentation (Infinity Vision System with Ozil technology). Modern cataract surgery restores the vision that cataracts have altered, and with the aid of modern intraocular lenses and surgical techniques, corrects pre-existing refractive errors (near-sightedness, far-sightedness and astigmatism). We offer multifocal lenses which reduce or eliminate the need for reading glasses after surgery (Restor / Rezoom) and toric lenses which correct underlying astigmatism. These options allow us to provide you with a greater degree of spectacle independence following cataract surgery.

Glaucoma Diagnosis and Treatment We perform digital slit lamp and fundus photography to accurately assess your risk for glaucoma. Additionally, we perform computerized visual field perimetry and Heidelberg Retinal Tomography as confirmatory testing for glaucoma. If you have glaucoma, we offer in-office Argon and SLT laser therapies.
